South Somerset District Council's tourism website. Everything for the perfect holiday in England!

24 June COVID Statement Update

STAY ALERT TO STAY SAFE

Following on from the government’s recent announcement, we’re delighted that many of our tourism and hospitality businesses are able to re-open from 4th July. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you back to South Somerset and our businesses have been busy getting ready to welcome you back safely.

Things will feel a little different though because of Covid compliance measures, so we strongly recommend that you plan ahead. Lots of attractions have changed their opening times and require advance bookings to be made. We encourage you to call where you’d like to visit or eat in advance or to check with their website directly.

We want you to enjoy South Somerset safely and we ask that everyone helps do this by respecting the guidelines that will protect both our communities and visitors, and importantly will look after our glorious landscape for the future too.
Thank you.
